Davidson Fine Arts School's founding principal, Beverly J. Barnhart, will be among those honored at the annual Jimmie Dyess Symposium presented by the Augusta Museum of History. Barnhart will receive the Symposium's Distinguished American Award for her work in Richmond County education at the event on Thursday, January 5, 2017.
"The symposium was created and developed to recognize Marine Lieutenant Colonel Jimmie Dyess's courage as both a citizen and a soldier of the United States and to identify others who have shown similar valor or made civic contributions above and beyond the call of duty."
DFA Alumni Association will share attendance information as the event nears. Mark your calendars now!
Congratulations, Mrs. Barnhart and those who have supported her and contributed to her, and DFA's, success.
